Bridgestone release new tyres for SUV's

Like many other sizes in the range, these tyres are now being manufactured at Bridgestone's Salisbury facility in South Australia to complement the imported product. "We have been constantly adding to this popular range since its introduction onto the market and we're proud to now be doing so with many Australian made sizes," said Burkhard Kabelitz, Bridgestone's National Technical Manager. "The continued investment we have made at our Salisbury facility means it is ideally placed to manufacture many tyres in our range." The D683 is solely supplied to the replacement market and incorporates Bridge-stone's innovative Donuts technology.

This technology means the Dueler D683 delivers a high level of ride comfort, low noise and excellent manoeuvrability. The advanced tread block design - developed to provide uniform contact pressure between the tread and the road surface - increases tyre life by minimising irregular wear and gives greater road holding and stability. Last year, Bridgestone introduced a 235/60R17 tyre to the D683 range to suit Ford Territory and Holden Captiva while the 215/60R16 was introduced to suit Subaru Outback and Forester. "The Dueler 683 range has become synonymous with passenger car like comfort, excellent handling on wet and dry roads, long wear life and excellent high speed stability and manoeuvrability," Kabelitz said. "It's the tyre of choice for SUV vehicles in the urban market."
