Wakeboard champs to appear at Melbourne Sports Boat & PWC Expo
Now, before you think Mills and Clifford will be towed up and down the Yarra, the pair will actually be demonstrating their flips and tricks on a specially-constructed trampoline in the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton.
Yarrawonga's Chloe Mills has just become Under 15 World Champion in the USA, and Queensland's Harley Clifford became World Champion last year. Mills and her sister Jordan, 16, have earned a slew of wakeboard titles already, despite their young age.
At only 18 years of age, Clifford is Australia's most successful competition wakeboarder, and probably the biggest name on the international scene. He has won just about every major comp in the sport, and recently took out the prestigious World Wakeboard Association (WWA) King of Wake Title to add to his collection.
Clifford will also officially launch the Mastercraft X-Star speedboat at the Expo.
The winning pair of youngsters are just one of the highlights of the Club Marine Sports Boat & PWC Expo, which runs from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 September, and is open from 12 noon to 9pm Friday, 10am to 9pm Saturday, and 10am to 6pm Sunday.
Admission is just $15 for adults, $10 concession, and free for children 15 and under (accompanied by a paying adult) - tickets at the door or online at www.theboatexpo.com.au
