Toyota launches Kluger Black Edition
Starting with 19-inch gloss black alloys (replacing the standard 18-inch alloys), the Black Edition also adds black roof rails, lower side mouldings and large upper grille, with a body-coloured bumper and smoked backplates for the headlights.
Other features are as per the Kluger GXL, including that grade’s standard 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, with the special edition available in both 2WD and AWD. Both options see the Black Edition carry a $1,020 premium over the models they’re based on, equating to $55,970 for the 2WD version and $59,970 for the AWD version.
Other features standard to the Kluger GXL on the Black Edition include rain-sensing wipers, tri-zone climate control, a power tailgate with separate-opening glass hatch, premium seat coverings and door trim, keyless smart entry and starting, 12-way power driver's seat, 8-inch display screen with satnav and digital radio, as well as a 4.2-inch multi-information display.
Safety tech starts with the Toyota Safety Sense package that includes a pre-collision safety system, autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure alert, active cruise control and automatic high beam. Other safety features include seven airbags, a reversing camera, blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
