The ultimate event for outdoor enthusiasts
Each year it goes from strength to strength, being thoroughly embraced by over 250 exhibitors show-casing the latest in products, ideas, aftermarket accessories, vehicles, destinations and much more. The Show has grown to incorporate three great events - 4x4s, fishing and outdoors expo and fly fishing and boating - which just about encompasses all things outdoors. This year showgoers were able to see first hand the all new Toyota 200 Series Land-Cruiser, Kluger, Nissan's new X-Trail and the latest 4x4s from Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Holden and Jeep.
As always some of the best vehicles on display were those that have been extensively modified and outside the show in the concourse there was a great display of such vehicles. Inside there were plenty of show vehicles with notable examples being from ARB, TJM, Kaymar, Cooper Tires and BF?Goodrich Tyres. In particular the yellow FJ Toyota (pictured above) equipped with ARB gear was one of my favourites. Far from being just great looking vehicles, these were practical examples of how aftermarket products can enhance and further extend the capability of your four wheel drive. Over 50 leading aftermarket accessory companies were on hand with an enormous array of quality products.
Of course once you have your vehicle set up, there were plenty of choices in camping gear, ranging from tents to camper trailers, camper vans and full blown caravans. The fishing show featured an enormous selection of gear, boating accessories and everything to do with your angling needs. If you needed any further motivation to hit the road there were many exotic destinations on hand to lure you to their delightful part of Australia. Again, a brilliant show that was certainly your ticket to adventure.
