The Dodge Ram is being considered for Australia
The Ram was launched in the USA with three engines: a 5.7-litre Hemi which produces 283kW and 548 Nm of torque, a 4.7-litre V-8 producing 231kW and 447Nm of torque, and a 3.7-litre V-6 generating 160kW and 319Nm of torque, four and five speed automatic transmissions, part-time and on-demand four-wheel drive transfer cases and 3.21, 3.55, 3.92 and 4.10 axle ratios.
Equipped with the new Hemi, the new 2009 Dodge Ram R/T regular-cab 4x2 model with a short bed and 4:10 gears blasts from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. The new Dodge Ram is offered in regular cab, Quad Cab and crew-size cab, with three tray lengths - 8-foot (regular cab), 6 foot 4 inches (regular cab and Quad Cab), and a new tray length of 5 foot 7 inches (Ram crew 1500).
