Stunts and records for Explore Australia Expo
The Showgrounds' main arena will also host instructional demonstrations and workshops and give consumers the opportunity to test drive vehicles such as the all-new Jeep Cherokee and a selection of the hottest off-road vehicles from Tomcar, BRP CanAm, Polaris and Arctic Cat on the event's specially designed track.
Freestyle Trials
World Freestyle Trials Champion Jack Field will jet back into Australia to perform shows, following a busy month competing at X-Games and performing shows in France and Austria. Field will put the Stealth Electric Hurricane through its paces and said he may even pull off one of the world's smallest backflips, executed off a 45cm kicker.
"It is really exciting to be coming home to do shows on home soil and for the local crowd," Field said. "I have had a really busy month with X-Games and shows in France and Austria.
"I am looking forward to checking out the Explore Australia Expo it something new and I keen tosee what everyone has to offer."
DTV Shredder
Another expo highlight is sure to be the 'DTV Shredder'. Not a scooter, skateboard or Segway, the DTV Shredder needs to be seen to be believed. The latest craze in off-road personal assault craft redefines 'off-road' by transforming the outdoors into a personal playground for thrill seekers. The groundbreaking vehicle, which will be in action on the Adventure Track across the weekend, is also available to purchase.
Tanks a Lot
Victorian Monster Truck builder Sam Xuereb is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike with his collection of ultimate boy's toys!
The highlight of Xuereb's collection is undoubtedly the tracked beast based on a WWII Stuart tank. With 1000 horsepower, much more than it carried in its Army days, this 6 tonne tank will perform incredible jumps throughout the show.
"This tank took about 2 years to build, as you can imagine it wasn't easy to source the parts! It uses the running gear from a World War II tank but the engine is what gives it the punch.
"I love monster trucks and unusual vehicles," Xuereb explained. "I'm a bit of a mad scientist when it comes to creating new and unusual things."
In addition to the radically-modified Stuart, Xuereb will also bring his world-famous Devil's Taxi Monster Truck, an all-new Mad-Max style Monster Truck called 'Raw Steel' and a Polaris 1000 Razor to the expo.
