Scenic Rim Adventure Park call for support
According to a release from Scenic Rim Adventure Park (SRAP), the Scenic Rim Regional Council has refused an application to rezone the SRAP property to operate the four wheel drive and camping business.
SRAP are appealing to the Planning and Environment Court as they believe this decision had not been made on the merit of the application.
SRAP have announced they intend working with their legal advisors and Council's legal advisors to have this resolved as quickly as possible, which is in the interest of the Park and Council's rate payers alike.
Due to the situation with the appeal process, the Offroad Boss King of the Rim for 2013 has been cancelled. However, they park is currently liaising with Council in an attempt to obtain a one-off event approval.
SRAP are asking for support from 4x4 owners and enthusiasts to help the legal costs and ensure the park stays open and used as originally intended.
SRAP ask that those wishing to support the facility do one or more of the following:
1. Write a letter or email (include your address and contact details) to SRAP regarding your experience and enjoyment you get from this business and what you believe Scenic Rim Adventure Park offer to the wider community of Scenic Rim. This may assist during the new appeal process. POST: 636 Tamrookum Creek Rd., Innisplain, QLD, 4285. Email: [email protected]
2. Donate to a fighting fund - SRAP Appeal Fund BSB 114879 Account
Number 439089128.
3. Tell your friends about the park and ask them to support it, too.
