Range Rover Evoque LE debuts in Europe
Available in unique 'Sicilian Yellow' or 'Santorini Black,' the limited edition Evoque is based on the Dynamic Plus variant, and sports a number of features that give it a distinct appearance. Available in coupé and 5-door, each limited edition colour choice features the other colour as a contrast on the roof.
Unique interior finishes include yellow contrast stitching on seats, central storage area, door trims and fascia mid-section, plus an anodised yellow horizontal finisher.
The limited edition model debuts Range Rover's 'Black Design Pack,' which will be available independently of the Limited Edition from mid-2013. The Black Design Pack will be available exclusively on Evoque Dynamic models and includes rear sport spoiler, darkened front headlights and fog lamps, black Range Rover lettering, clear rear lamps, 20-inch Gloss Black forged wheels, Santorini Black painted bumper sections and dark exhaust finishers.
"The Sicilian Yellow Limited Edition is the perfect opportunity to introduce the Range Rover Evoque into 2013 and build on what is already a tremendous success story. Such a striking colour combination attributes itself to the already unique styling of the Evoque. This, combined with the release of the Black Design Pack mid-2013, will provide customers with yet more appealing and unique choices," said John Edwards, Land Rover Global Brand Director.
Engine choice remains unchanged in the limited edition models, meaning a lightweight 2.2 litre diesel engine, in TD4 110kW or SD4 140kW guise, or Land Rover Si4 petrol engine. TD4 and SD4 engines can be combined with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed auto and four-wheel drive. The Si4 petrol comes with the 6-speed auto and 4WD as standard.
The eco two-wheel drive eD4 Evoque is powered by the 110 kW TD4 version of the engine combined with a six-speed manual gearbox and produces just 129g/km CO2.
Australian release for the Range Rover Evoque Limited Edition is unlikely, although we should see the Black Design Pack option in mid-to-late 2013.
