Nissan releases N-TREK Navara

“A majority of ute buyers are prepared to invest in the look of their vehicle, to get the vehicle they really want,” said Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester.

“Our black editions have always been popular with buyers, so the Navara N-TREK includes a wide variety of Nissan-approved parts and accessories that will set it apart.”

Based off the top-spec Navara ST-X 4x4 grade, the N-TREK features 18-inch alloy wheels in black, with the wheelarch flares, sports bar, side steps, door handles, grille and lower front fascia, mirror caps, rear bumper and roof rails also in black. The headlight bezels and foglamp surrounds get the black treatment, too.

Identifying N-TREK decals and badging also feature, with a choice of three paint colours – Cosmic Black, White Diamond and Slate Grey.

Orange accents on the front fascia and side steps are continued inside, with dark orange fabric inserts on the leather-accented seats, as well as orange accent stitching on the steering wheel, front door armrests, seats and centre console.

The Navara N-TREK also gets heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.

While the current Navara dates back to 2015, a rolling series of upgrades and additions have made it a match for newer equivalents, with those updates including the AIVI (Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment) system with a larger 8.0-inch colour touchscreen display and redesigned user interface, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Other standard tech includes Bluetooth and sat nav, while the Navara N-TREK’s five-star ANCAP safety package is led by Vehicle Dynamic Control, Active Brake Limited Slip, Brake Limited Slip Differential and Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, a 360-degree monitor, reversing camera and sensors and seven airbags.

Running gear for the N-TREK is the same as the Navara ST-X it’s based on: a 2.3-litre turbodiesel four outputting 140kW and 450Nm, with a part-time four-wheel drive system, listed braked towing capacity of 3,500kg and a payload maximum of 931kg.

Pricing for the Navara N-TREK is $56,450 ($58,950 auto), backed by a 5-year/unlimited km warranty.
