New Ford Escape revealed

Ford has been a poor performer in the compact SUV market, with the aging Escape attracting few sales. While local specifications have not been finalised it is expected they will include some of the innovations found on the US model.

These include a programmable smart card to limit the car's speed, hands-free tailgate, automatic parallel parking, blind spot warning and advanced safety technology.
