Jeep release new 'Blackhawk' editions
The Blackhawk Edition, applied to the Compass, Patriot, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, is aimed at a more 'urban' buyer, so the additions are about style, rather than off-road ability.
Black, unsurprisingly, is the common theme for all the Blackhawk editions, so high-gloss black accents feature on things like the grille surround, roof rails and badges. Wheels are finished in gloss black for these special editions, with body-coloured bumpers and matt black decals completing the blackout appearance.
Inside, upgrades like heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and UConnect Voice Command with Bluetooth are added across most versions, with the Wrangler Blackhawk getting black leather seats, and the Cherokee Blackhawk adding leather/suede seats in black.
Blackhawk Edition models are based on the Wrangler Overland, Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 and, for the Compass and Patriot, Sport CVT variants.
"Street appeal is a consideration for many Jeep buyers," revealed Fiat Chrysler Australia President and CEO Ms Veronica Johns.
"Inclusions in the Blackhawk Edition models provide - in one value-packed comprehensive package - the items many customers search for when individualizing their new vehicles."
