Jeep bringing Wrangler ‘Rewind’ Limited Edition to Australia

Jeep Australia are bringing a splash of colour and style to the local four-wheel drive market with the Wrangler-based ‘Rewind’ Limited Edition. Due for Australian release later this year, and available exclusively as a four-door model, the Wrangler Rewind Limited Edition is defined by bold exterior touches, gold-accented wheels and unique, retro-inspired interior detailing.

First revealed as a concept at the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari in Utah, where it was tested on real terrain, the Jeep Rewind quickly emerged as one of the event’s highlight vehicles. The overwhelming excitement it generated convinced Jeep to move the Rewind from a one-off to a production model, firstly for the North American market, and now for Australia, as a limited edition.

Described as channelling the vibrant spirit of the 1980s and 1990s, the Rewind Limited Edition is defined by bold, retro-look red and blue decals, bronze-toned ‘Jeep’ and ‘Trail Rated’ badges, 17-inch alloy wheels with gold accents, a bespoke spare wheel soft cover, body-coloured wheelarch flares and a body-coloured hardtop.  

Available paint colours are Bright White, Black, Granite Crystal (dark grey) and Reign (purple), which is the hero colour for this limited edition.

Interior features unique to the Rewind start with embossed details inspired by 8-bit video games on the Nappa leather seats. Similar graphics are used on the gear shifter medallion, centre console ‘REWIND’ badge and swing gate plaque. In line with the exterior decals, the interior features accent stitching in iced blue and plum on the seats, steering wheel, dashboard and other interior touchpoints. Front seats are heated, with 8-way power adjustment and 4-way lumbar adjustment.

Mechanically, the Rewind Limited Edition is unchanged from the regular Wrangler Unlimited four-door five-seater. That means a ‘Hurricane’ 2.0-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder engine producing 200kW and 400Nm. This is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s ‘Selec-Terrain’ active four-wheel drive system with a two-speed transfer case. Heavy-duty axles and suspension, a rear diff lock, underbody skid plates and selectable driving modes are all standard.

Approach/departure/breakover angles are 43.9/37.0/22.6 degrees, with 255mm ground clearance, 760mm wading depth and 750kg braked towing capacity.

For all its toughness and go-anywhere capability, the Wrangler Rewind also boasts the latest tech, including a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and an 8-speaker audio system with DAB+ digital radio. Driver assistance and safety features include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross path detection, front and rear park assist, a rear-view camera and six airbags.

Being a Wrangler means the Rewind’s roof and doors are removable for open-air driving, with a fold-down windscreen, too.

At $73,990 (+ ORCs), the Wrangler Rewind Limited Edition undercuts current pricing for the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon four-door by a significant $11,000. It’s also $8,000 cheaper than the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon two-door model.

Only 50 units of the limited edition are allocated for Australia, most of which are likely to have been accounted for at time of writing. Contact your Jeep dealer to confirm availability and specific pricing.
