Hyundai Santa Fe updated for 2015
The three tier lineup of Active, Elite and Highlander remains, with the top-of-the-range Highlander getting the bulk of the MY15 upgrades, but all three variants gain new daytime running lights and cornering lights, as well as a 'dark chrome' grille and front parking sensors.
Elite and Highlander-spec Santa Fes add an automatic tailgate with proximity function (ie. you don't have to wave your foot under the vehicle or press a button to activate it) for 2015, while the Highlander also adds Lane Departure Warning and Smart Park Assist self-parking function.
Inside, the Highlander adds ventilated leather/leatherette seats and a panoramic sunroof that can be operated even with the ignition off.
Powertrains are unaltered from the incumbent model, with the choice of a 2.4-litre four cylinder petrol of 2.2-litre four cylinder turbo diesel for the Santa Fe Active, with Elite and Highlander versions only available with the turbo diesel. Transmissions are also unaltered, with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed auto optional for Active spec, but the auto is the only trans available for Elite and Highlander spec.
All three Santa Fe variants are 4WD, featuring Hyundai's Active On Demand all-wheel-drive system. Overall dimensions and kerb weights are unaltered for the 2015 model.
Available now, pricing for the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe starts at $38,490 MRLP for the Active manual, stretching up to $53,240 MRLP for the Highlander auto. See your Hyundai dealer for further details.
