Honda releases ‘50 Years Edition’ SUVs

“The 50 Years Edition range celebrates an important milestone for the Honda brand in Australia,” said Honda Australia General Manager – Product, Customer & Communications, Robert Thorp.
“While the one-off gold collection of our hero performance products wasn’t available for customers to purchase, the 50 Years Edition range is firmly focused on the most popular models in Honda’s vehicle line-up, ensuring all new car buyers have a chance to be part of the celebrations.”
Each special edition adds extra features for a small premium over the base model – what Honda calls a desirable, customer-focused equipment list at a compelling drive away price point.
On the CR-V, the 50 Years Edition is based on the VTi grade and adds $3,790 of equipment for $1,400 extra, for a drive away price of $34,990.
The specification upgrade includes 18-inch alloys, rear privacy glass, front and rear parking sensors and Honda’s LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system.
For the HR-V, the VTi grade also serves as the base for the 50 Years Edition, with $2,700 of extra kit for a $1,425 premium and listed drive away pricing of $28,990.
The HR-V 50 Years Edition upgrades the VTi grade with the addition of 17-inch alloys, side steps, piano black mirror caps, rear parking sensors and alloy sports pedals.
Both 50 Years Edition SUVs are available in a choice of Passion Red pearl, Platinum White pearl, Lunar Silver metallic and Modern Steel metallic paint.
