Honda Australia announce limited Edition CR-V 'Plus+'
Silly doubling up of the 'Plus' and '+' labels aside, the special edition does add some worthwhile features, like fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers. Metallic paint, 18-inch alloys and special badging are also part of the limited edition. (no flat paint is available as part of the package)
Based on the entry-level, VTi-spec CR-V, and available in both 2.0lt two-wheel-drive and 2.4lt four-wheel-drive automatic transmission versions, the Plus+ is now available from Honda dealers nationally. Starting price is $30,790 for the 2WD version, and $33,790 for the 4WD (both prices are Manufacturer's List Price only, excluding all on-road costs). This is a premium of around $1,000 over both the standard 2WD and 4WD CR-V VTi.
No doubt Honda hope the Plus+ boosts interest in the CR-V, as sales are down more than 30 percent on last year, with the Honda lagging well behind competitors like the Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4 and Subaru Forester.
