The launch range comprises three models - H2, H8 and H9 - covering the compact, medium and large SUV market segments, with each promising both quality and outstanding value for money.
"We are very excited to be launching our range of premium SUVs into Australia," said Haval Motors Australia Managing Director Parker Shi.
"Australia is a country where SUVs sales have doubled in the past five years. We are confident our combination of quality product and outstanding value for money will prove popular with Australian customers."
While a newcomer to the Australian market, Haval has been a part of China's motoring environment since 2002, and has been the top-selling SUV brand in that country for 13 consecutive years.
The breakdown of the three locally-available Haval models is as follows:
The local launch this week coincided with the official opening of the marque's four foundation dealerships: Berwick Haval (Berwick, Victoria); King's Haval (Geelong, Victoria); Lansvale Haval (Sydnney, NSW); and Autostrada Haval (Perth, WA).
"We are close to announcing a number of other dealerships to join our foundation members and expect to have 10 Haval dealerships in place by the end of 2015," said Haval Motors Australia P/L's Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Smith.
