First local units of Mitsubishi PHEV Outlander delivered
Dr's Tee and Guan of Brisbane were handed the keys to two Outlander PHEV Aspires which they ordered sight unseen from Motorama Mitsubishi Moorooka in February.
So impressed by initial reviews of the world's first plug-in hybrid SUV, Dr Tee and Dr Guan placed deposits for their vehicles prior to its official launch in Australia last month.
"We are long term drivers of Mitsubishi products and have a special interest in Mitsubishis four-wheel-drive range for its practicality and off-road performance," said Dr Tee.
"We regularly check online for Mitsubishi's new models and came across the Outlander PHEV. We were drawn to the technology of the vehicle and how environmentally friendly the car is to run."
Dr Guan added, "The Outlander PHEV is a great fit for our lifestyles. We will be able to take advantage of the 52 kilometre electric range in our daily commute but also look forward to taking the car off-road or for a weekend away with our families."
Mitsubishi Motors Director of Sales Greg Cook said he is excited to see the Outlander PHEV in dealerships and keys in the hands of customers following a strong launch campaign.
"It's great to see our customers picking up their Outlander PHEVs from dealerships across the country and we look forward to seeing more and more on the road," Crook said.
The Outlander PHEV - which stands for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle - boasts combined fuel efficiency of just 1.9-litres per 100 kilometres* - the lowest official ADR fuel consumption figure of any SUV sold in Australia.
Despite its impressive economy, the rest of the PHEV is still 'SUV-suitable', with a spacious five seat interior, four-wheel drive capability and 1,500kg braked towing capacity.
Starting price for the Outlander PHEV is just $47,490 (+ ORCs). Further details about Mitsubishi's PHEV dealer network can be found at: www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au
