2022 GWM Cannon-L cab chassis
Despite being a 2022 model, this Cannon-L dual cab chassis ute is a brand-new vehicle, with delivery kilometres only. Being a brand-new, unmodified vehicle means it’s powered by the standard 2.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine producing 120kW at 3600rpm, 400Nm at 1500rpm and claimed economy of 9.4lt/100km on the combined cycle. Completing the drivetrain is an eight-speed sports automatic transmission with paddle shifters and permanent four-wheel drive with selectable drive modes and electronic diff locks.
The Cannon-L’s upgrades over the standard Cannon dual cab chassis include front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera, power folding mirrors, auto climate control, rear privacy glass, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, heated front seats, power driver’s seat and six speakers for the sound system (instead of four).
Cosmetic differences include roof rails and a chrome finish for the door handles, mirror caps and grille. This example of the Cannon-L cab chassis is finished in Pearl White, which is one of three colours available and the only one that doesn’t attract a cost premium.
The included aluminium tray increases length over the equivalent Cannon ute by 101mm. The tray itself measures 1730mm x 1855mm (L x W), with the dropsides 235mm deep. Payload is 1050kg, with braked towing capacity of 3000kg, both of which are unchanged from the Cannon ute.
Safety gear includes ABS, EBD, AEB with pedestrian and bicycle detection, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, Traffic Sign Recognition with overspeed warning, tyre pressure monitoring, seven airbags and more
This new Cannon-L cab chassis is backed by a 7-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, with 5 years’ roadside assist and 5 years’ capped price servicing.
