Family owned and operated for more than 50 years, Coast to Cast Car Sales aims to make the experience of buying a used car the best you can possibly have, because purchasing a vehicle is one of the most important decisions you can make.
Located at Car City Ringwood, Coast to Coast Car Sales is operated by Matthew Thompson, whose father Brian opened his first car yard in 1972 and passed the passion for selling quality used cars on to the next generation.
Matthew and his team at Coast to Coast Car Sales sell only the best used cars available, from everyday compacts to prestige SUVs. Every vehicle they sell is mechanically tested and includes a 12-month warranty that’s valid Australia-wide, with extended warranties of up to 5 years available.
Trade-ins of any type are welcome, be it car, bike, boat, or van… almost anything.
Coast to Coast Car Sales also offer finance on site, with a record of organising quick and easy finance that they say is second to none. So, if you want to purchase a quality used car and drive it away today, Matthew can make it happen.
Australia-wide shipping is available, too, so if you’re interstate and spot a car in stock that suits your needs, Coast to Coast Car Sales can send it to you.

Here’s a recent arrival at Coast to Coast Car Sales:
2020 Ford Ranger Sport
This 2020 model (PX Series, MkIII) Ranger Sport is powered by the standard 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 147kW and 470Nm, matched to a six-speed sports automatic transmission and dual-range four-wheel drive.
The ‘Sport’ tag doesn’t refer to the transmission, but rather to the sporty-looking extras that were fitted as standard. These included a black grille insert, black mirror caps, door handles and rear bumper. A black sports bar was also part of the Sport spec, along with side steps and a tub liner, bringing the XLS-based Sport closer to the Ranger XLT in terms of standard appointments.
This example has been individualised with aftermarket alloys, which have a beadlock look and are matched to off-road tyres, wheelarch flares, side window wind deflectors, a bullbar with LED light bar, bonnet protector, mudflaps, extra exterior trim pieces in black and some bold Raptor-look ‘Ranger’ decals on the tub.
Inside, it’s standard PX Ranger Sport, which means cloth seat trim, carpeted floors, power windows, dual-zone climate control, a six-speaker stereo, USB/iPod/MP3 audio, Bluetooth, DAB+ digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, satnav, an 8.0-inch central infotainment screen, dual 4.2-inch instrument screens, smart key, a start button and more.
The Sport grade means some of these features, like the larger central touchscreen, are standard, where they’re optional or unavailable on the Ranger XLS that this grade is based on.
Safety and driver assistance tech includes a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, ABS, Brake Assist, ESC, EBD, Traction Control, Rollover Stability Control, Trailer Sway Control, Lane Departure Warning, Active Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning and Mitigation, a Hill Holder, Pedestrian Avoidance Control with Braking, Driver Attention Detection, Road Sign Recognition and a full suite of airbags.
Given the popularity of dual cab utes – particularly Rangers – in the Australian market, this Ranger Sport is unlikely to be available for long. For more details, click HERE.
