An Isuzu D-Max crew ute has returned an impressive 5.49L/100km on a 3452km economy drive from Melbourne to Cairns. Off road racers Bruce Garland and Harry Suzuki completed the run on less than two tanks of diesel fuel.

The prize for guessing the amount of fuel used in the Isuzu Ute 2011 Max Run Challenge was won by Rex Momus of Perth. He won a new D-Max X-Runner 4x2 manual, $10,000 worth of BCF camping gear and a year's supply of Mother Energy Drink.
