CX-5, CX-3 drive Mazda's October sales success
This marks the seventh month this year that Mazda has posted new sales records, with the number two-selling brand in Australia on track for an all-time retail benchmark.
Mazda's SUVs are playing an important part in this sales success, with the CX-5 and CX-3 both achieving impressively strong sales.
Setting a new October record was New Mazda CX-5 with 2,037 sales last month - up almost 30 per cent YOY - and up 15.4 per cent YTD. With 21,050 sales YTD, its 2014 record of 21,571 is soon to be eclipsed.
The CX-3 compact SUV only arrived here in March, but already it's proved a hit. Australia's favourite small SUV last month with 1,440 October sales, the CX-3 has amassed 10,052 YTD sales.
Mazda Australia managing director, Martin Benders said: "As we approach 100,000 sales for the fourth successive year, we find ourselves in a position where we should hit this mark before December.
"After a couple of years of sales consolidation, the introduction of the Mazda CX-3 has added incremental growth for Mazda. In addition, we have added stylish upgrades to CX-5, Mazda6, and BT-50.
"With an excellent showroom range now appealing to more retail buyers, our goal is to exceed 110,000 sales this year, which we believe is definitely achievable."
