Caravans Adria Action
The unconventional retro-styled compact caravan is only 3.61 metres long and weighs just 850 kilograms, making Action the smallest, lightest caravan in the Adria range. "Despite its size, Action still manages to pack in a toilet and shower ensemble, kitchen and double bed - all for $33,990:, Adria Australia sales and marketing manager Richard Towson said.
The swivel flushing toilet and shower is a single-moulded unit located at the rear left of the caravan with a window to assist airflow and drying. The shower has a curtain to prevent the vanity sink and toiletries from getting wet, and a sliding door that shuts it off from the caravan interior. Action's kitchen consists of a two-hob gas burner and a stainless steel sink, with bench space in between.
A 60-litre Dometic fridge and 50-litre freshwater tank come as standard fittings. "To convert the bedroom to a dining area during the day, the caravan occupants simply adjust the table height and rearrange the cushions," Mr Towson said. "The double bed is made from comfortable dense foam, and at two metres by two metres is a substantial size." Action's interior is pleasant with natural light filtering in from four openable double-glazed windows and a skylight, each with blinds and mosquito nets. The main door features the increasingly popular stable-style split with mosquito screen. An externally accessible garage-style storage compartment is a convenient way to store bulky items such as gas bottles or extra luggage.
"If reversing a trailer is not your strong suit, the four handles on each external corner of this pocket sized caravan make it easy to manually manoeuvre it into place," Mr Towson said. "Action's diminutive weight and size means it can be towed by smaller cars, potentially saving drivers significant money on fuel." Action's light weight is achieved even with the addition of two extra bracing points on the AL-KO chassis, designed to ensure European imports can handle the rougher local road conditions.
Adiva 532UP a boom for families
The Adria Adiva 532UP could be the ideal mid-size caravan for couples and young families wanting to experience the outdoors in comfort. Its external walls are constructed using a multi-layer, dent resistant polyester design while the roof is a single piece of high gloss polyester. Space is plentiful in the mid-size Adiva thanks to its well-planned layout and large, sofa-style seating. A wide U-shaped sofa runs around the front section of the interior, providing seating for at least five adults around a large wooden table. At night the inner-spring cushions conveniently slide down to form a large queen-size bed.
A permanent bedroom is located at the rear of the interior and features a queen size bed with an anti bacterial mattress. The bedroom offers lots of storage as it is fitted with large, high-quality wooden cupboards and shelves. Adjoining the bedroom is a generous sized ensuite style bathroom with a separate shower, electric-flush cassette toilet, high quality stainless steel Reich fittings and a large corner mirror with down lights. Dining or entertaining is simple due to the spacious, centrally appointed kitchen fitted with European appliances. Food storage on long trips is easy because of the 97-litre refrigerator and generous cupboard space in the food preparation area.
A stainless steel, four-burner gas hob and grill, and a stainless steel sink and tap in the kitchen maintain continuity of style with the bathroom. Natural light is at a premium due to six large windows and three skylights, including a large, hinged, double-glazed skylight for extra ventilation. All of the windows are double glazed and come fitted with roller blinds and flyscreens. The Adiva 532UP has a range of high quality fittings throughout the interior, including a radio with CD player and TV aerial point. The body is mounted to a single-axle ALKO Delta chassis with 14-inch alloy wheels that sit in flared arches for greater clearance.
