BMW confirms ‘Dark Shadow’ X7 for Australia
Available in both xDrive30d M Sport form with the 195kW/620Nm six-cylinder turbodiesel and on the M50i with the 390kW/750Nm twin-turbo petrol V8, just ten units (five of each drivetrain) will be released locally from a global allocation of 500.
A special project from BMW Individual, the X7 Dark Shadow Edition is defined by Frozen Arctic Grey metallic paintwork and V-Spoke 22-inch alloys in matte Jet Black. M Sport brake calipers are finished in blue, with the BMW Laserlight headlight system adding a blue-hued X design.
BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line exterior trim replaces the usual chrome finishers, while rear privacy glass is standard.
Inside, the X7 Dark Shadow Edition features BMW Comfort Seats in two-tone Merino Night Blue/Black leather, with the instrument panel’s upper section and upper door surfaces trimmed in Night Blue Walknappa leather.
An Alcantara headliner and aluminium inlays adorn the BMW Individual ‘Fineline Black’ interior – a first for a BMW X7 – while BMW’s signature ‘CraftedClarity’ crystal glass treatment is applied to the gearshift selector, iDrive controller and Start/Stop button.
The finishing touch is ‘Edition Dark Shadow’ identification on the centre console.
Drive away pricing for the BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition has been set at $188,900 for the xDrive30d M Sport and $215,900 for the M50i. Reservations are only being taken online via the BMW Shop on a first-come, first-served basis.
