Big Red' to host major music event this July
The Big Red Bash is an all-new, 2-day music event this July that features a comprehensive lineup of Australian talent, performing at an iconic Australian location - Birdsville's famous 'Big Red' sand dune.
Headlining the event is a supergroup made up of Aussie rock royalty: Daryl Braithwaite, James Reyne, Ross Wilson and Joe Camilleri. They'll be ably supported by John Williamson and Kasey Chambers, joined by the talents of Bill Chambers, Harry Hookey, Ashleigh Dallas, Victoria Edwards and Saxanova.
The location is as big a draw as the lineup, with Australia's most iconic outback town and Australia's largest natural sand dune providing - Big Red - providing a natural amphitheatre for the entertainment.
Williamson, who was the first music artist to play a gig at Big Red earlier this year, reckons the return to Birdsville for The Big Red Bash will be something special for all involved.
"What a unique experience to be a part of, I am so proud to be the first artist to perform on the Big Red sand dune," Williamson said.
"What Aussie or visitor shouldn't experience great music under the outback stars in such an unforgettable location?
"Out there, the atmosphere, landscape and characters of the outback give you a true sense of the Australian identity."
The Big Red Bash is on Wednesday, July 9, and Thursday, July 10, with tickets and packages now on sale through Ticketek.
