Big crowds at opening day of 2013 Melbourne 4x4 Show
With over 50,000 square metres of exhibitor space, this year's show has the biggest footprint ever, with the latest and greatest in all things fishing, boating, caravanning, camping, four-wheel-driving and outdoors on show - and in action.
"Today has been one of our busiest opening days yet, and with Father's Day next Sunday, we're confident of matching last year's visitor numbers with people seeking that perfect present for Dad," said Paul Morgan, Event Manager.
"There are so many things to see and do at the show this weekend with hundreds-of-thousands of products on display, over 200 exhibitors, celebrity guests, informative talks as well as the ever popular and interactive Action Arena, Isuzu UTE Team D-MAX stunt rides, 4WD Test Rides, Yamaha Supertank and Young Guns Fishing Adventures."
The National 4x4 & Outdoors Show and Fishing & Boating Expo will run until 5pm this Sunday, showcasing the latest in fishing, boating, camping, outdoors and adventure, including a number of products making their Australian and World debut.
Visitors to this year's Show will have the chance to walk away with a $10,000 Touring and Adventure Package, thanks to ARB and Anaconda.
Tickets are priced at $18 for adults, $13 for senior and pensioner concession, with kids under 15 free. A two day adult pass is also available for $30.
Metro Trains will run a special train service on the Saturday and Sunday for show patrons with trains running every 20 minutes from Flinders Street, stopping at Southern Cross and North Melbourne Stations, then express to the Showgrounds.
