Audi to raffle new Q8 for charity
Since its inception in 2017, the Audi Foundation has raised over $2.2 million for its charity partners, which include The Smith Family, Camp Quality, R U OK?, Reach Out and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
Proceeds are shared amongst those charity partners, but recognising the strain of isolation and insecurity caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Audi Foundation will donate $10 from every ticket in this latest raffle to Lifeline to fund their 24/7 mental health crisis support counselling service.
“Audi Australia is privileged to be in a position to help, and with our donation to Lifeline, we hope to provide support to Australians who may be in their most desperate time of need,” said Paul Sansom, Chairman of the Audi Foundation and Managing Director of Audi Australia.
The Q8 on offer for Audi Foundation Raffle 005 is a 55 TFSI quattro variant, powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine producing 250kW and 500Nm, but thanks to engine stop/start tech and a 48V mild hybrid system, it’s efficient at 9.2lt/100km on the combined cycle.
Matched to an 8-speed sports automatic transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system, the Q8’s performance engine is part of a specification list that includes 21-inch alloys, LED lighting, electronic rear diff lock, keyless entry/starting, head-up display, leather upholstery, climate control air con, heated/ventilated front seats, 10-speaker audio system, satnav, parking assist and advanced safety technologies amongst its many standard features.
According to Audi, the Q8 55 TFSI raffle car is valued at $168,000, including LCT and ORCs.
Tickets for Audi Foundation Raffle 005 are $50 each and available to purchase online from: https://audifoundation.com.au/prizedraw. The raffle is open now and closes on 11 November, 2020 (see the website for full terms & conditions).
