ARB Touring Range

Eighteen months after releasing the original ARB Touring range, ARB is now pleased to bring you the next generation in vehicle mounted camping solutions. Replacing the original models, the new range consists of the Simpson II rooftop tent and a new awning. Although these products are very similar to the previous ones, new production methods have been undertaken to improve overall quality and incorporate new features. And due to these manufacturing processes being more efficient, we have been able to offer a significant price reduction compared to the previous products, making the range an affordable option for 4WDers and campers everywhere. The Simpson II rooftop tent will provide the ultimate in ease and convenience when travelling. Mounted to the rear or side of a vehicle or trailer and unfolding in minutes, a rooftop tent provides sleeping quarters off the ground, protected from the elements.

Manufactured from high quality, polyester/cotton fabric which is breathable, waterproof and mould resistant, the Simpson II incorporates a comfortable 65mm high density foam mattress with removable cover to facilitate cleaning. A flysheet is raised above the tent on multiple bows, keeping you cooler in the sun, and along with the permanent air vents, will also help reduce condensation.

Incorporating insect screening on doors and windows, the window awnings are supported on spring steel stays allowing them to be open in all conditions, even when it's raining. An optional accessory for the Simpson II is a weatherproof annexe, that zips directly onto the bottom of the tent. This enclosure adds an extra camping area from which belongings in the vehicle can be accessed. With a removable ground sheet for easier cleaning and storage, and insect screened openings, it is a practical accessory for campers. Along with the rooftop tent is a new ARB Touring awning. Easy to mount and operate, this retractable awning fits onto the side of a roof rack, and is conveniently stored in a heavy duty reinforced PVC bag for immediate use on arrival.

The shade cover is made from PVC lined polyester and provides total UV protection while being completely waterproof. The awning will provide fast, convenient shade and protection from the elements, making it perfect whether camping or just stopping for a quick meal break. To mount both of the above accessories, ARB's purpose built Touring rack cage is still available in two sizes for a range of vehicles. Manufactured to the same high quality as our standard roof racks, it incorporates a flat section for the rooftop tent, while still allowing equipment to be stored in the front part. The new Touring accessories are available from ARB stores and stockists around the country.
