All-Roada Pod Camper Trailer
For many, one of the first products they look for is a trailer, when they realise that there is no way all their camping gear - and the kids - are going to fit into their 4x4 wagon! Trailers have generally meant a traditional 6x4' box trailer, which, in many cases, simply doesn't fit the bill. Thinking outside the square has always been Phil Savory's forte, so it's no surprise that he thought up the design of this revolutionary trailer.
The beauty of the concept is that it is a modular system that provides unlimited freedom in how you use it. The design has been produced in three models: the Tub trailer, the Pod trailer and the All-Roada. The concept offers more to campers, too, as each 'stage' can be fitted with a tent to turn it into a very usable and practical camper trailer. In its basic form, it has a traditional 6x4' tub, built of tough, recycled polyethylene (like the water tanks), that sits inside a hot-dipped galvanised chassis.
In this form, you can do all the traditional trailer things, but what about when you want to go camping? That's when this design really starts to shine. Simply attach the lid and you have secure, lightweight and dust-proof storage for all your gear. Step up to the All-Roada and you have a super-tough compact camping trailer. The All-Roada utilises a heavy duty hot-dipped galvanised chassis, 15" LandCruiser wheels and tyres, 5 leaf eye-to-eye soft travel springs, 40mm solid axle (with LandCruiser 6 stud hubs), LED lights and optional 50kg roof racks.
Like the 'Pod' and 'Tub', the All-Roada's 360mm deep tub is a one piece, polyethylene unit, with secure locks, a quick release lid and heavy duty tie-downs. The All-Roada utilises a slightly longer draw bar to allow the optional swing-out kitchen area and/or a pair of optional jerrycan holders to be added. The POD CAMPER version of the All-Roada is arguably the ultimate camping trailer, with the drop-in camper providing a 4" double-bed mattress, 6m x 2m awning (with optional awning walls), floor level full width storage drawer and even a kitchen draw and wash tub. The canvas tent unfolds from the tub and is certainly one of the neatest and most functional units around.
Best of all, the Pod Camper only weighs 350kgs all up and does not require a full size 4WD to tow it. It is perfect for smaller AWDs and cars, too. It can also be fitted into any trailer in the range. The Pod trailer system is designed and built entirely in Australia by Stockman Products, who have recently won an an Australian Plastic award for this product. A host of useful accessories are also available to enable you to customise our trailer to suit your requirements. Pricing for the All-Roada starts at $3,550.
