We love the Toyota brand and this is a magnificent practical Toyota product that fills a hole in the Aussie market.

The interior space is big enough to turn into a camper. and its big enough for most tradies with a 700KG payload.

The 4WD system is excellent with a push-button centre diff locker - ideal for beach fishing or off road tracks.
But also a brilliant city car. It has an amazing tight turning circle and is super easy to park anywhere. This a short vehicle measuring only 4,065 mm - so its super easy to park anywhere. The clever design with the engine under the seats and a shorter nose (i.e. no wasted long bonnet and engine out the front) means ALL of the space tip to tail is usable space. Parking has never been easier with tight spaces normally only for very small cars being accessible to this larger Townace.

The Toyota design philosophy of "Less is More" applies very well to these Townaces as they are a simple utilitarian vehicles with no gimmicky features.

The engine is also a case of "enough to get the job done efficiently and reliably" - The Townace comes with a robust 1.5 litre twin cam 4 cylinder petrol engine - the classic 4 cylinder design that Toyota has built its reputation on for the last 50 years. Fuel economy is excellent and highway performance is all there with enough to sit on the speed limit very comfortably.
