All vehicles are inspected before being added to the yard, with an extended warranty (that includes unlimited kms and unlimited claims) available on all vehicles for additional peace of mind. Western City Autos also offer 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, which can be added to the extended warranty package.

Here’s a recent arrival at Western City Autos:
2019 LDV T60 Luxe dual cab
- 2.8lt turbodiesel four-cylinder
- Six-speed sports automatic
- Dual range 4WD
- Heated leather front seats
- 5-star ANCAP rated

Since its arrival into Australia’s highly competitive dual cab ute market, LDV has made quite an impression. Their T60 has carved out a decent slice of the segment and accounts for roughly half of LDV’s total sales here annually.
The Chinese brand with British origins made its Australian debut in 2017, starting with commercial vehicles (vans and utes) before adding SUVs and people movers.
The T60 was one of LDV’s pioneers in the Australian market, launching here in 2017 as a dual cab ute in a choice of ‘Pro’ or ‘Luxe’ trim. There was one engine choice – a 2.8-litre turbo diesel four - and six-speed manual or six-speed auto transmission options. Dual range four-wheel drive was standard for both models

A two-wheel drive variant and a single cab chassis body was added for 2018, with the ‘Trailrider’ special edition dual cab introduced a year later. This was defined by nudge and sports bars, special wheels and identifying decals.
The T60 range has continued to grow since, with the Trailrider 2 and long wheelbase ‘Mega Tub’ variant added in 2020, while the ‘eT60’ from 2022 broke new ground as the first fully electric ute in the Australian market.

Back in 2019, as it still does now, the T60 Luxe offered a higher trim level and more standard features than the T60 Pro. These included leather accented upholstery, heated/powered front seats, climate control, front and side cameras, a proximity key, pushbutton starting, power mirrors and more.
For off-road use, the Luxe also came with a rear diff lock, while a sports bar and chrome trim for the grille, door handles and mirror caps gave the Luxe an instant visual point of difference over the Pro. Unusually for an upmarket model, the Luxe ran with the same 17-inch alloys as the Pro. Importantly for off-road work, the spare was a full-size alloy.

In terms of the running gear, the T60 Luxe’s 2.8-litre intercooled turbo diesel engine produces relatively low maximums of 110kW at 3400rpm and 360Nm at 2800rpm. In the case of the vehicle featured, the 3.8 t/d is matched to the six-speed sports automatic instead of the manual transmission. With this combination, fuel economy is listed at 9.6lt/100km (combined cycle), with fuel tank capacity of 75 litres.
Independent front and leaf spring rear suspension was standard for 2019 models like this, but in 2020, the regular T60 range benefitted from local suspension tuning which had previously been exclusive to the Trailrider.

In terms of off-road capability, a 2019 T60 Luxe dual cab like this one comes with dual-range four-wheel drive as standard, with ground clearance of 215mm and wading depth of 550mm. Approach and departure angles are 27 and 24.2 degrees, with breakover angle of 21.3 degrees.
While the 17-inch alloys are fine for the suburbs and gravel roads, those attempting to navigate tough off-road trails would be advised to fit sturdier steel wheels and compatible all terrain tyres.
The standard sports bar is ready to mount auxiliary lighting, and the roof rails are ready to tie down kayaks or camping gear. A hard tonneau is fitted to this vehicle, and while the factory tow bar suggests this vehicle has done some load lugging, buyers should be aware that the T60’s braked towing capacity is 3000kg, which is 500kg lower than most rivals in the dual cab ute market.

Aside from the aforementioned extras over the Pro, the T60 Luxe spec included a 10.0-inch centre touchscreen (one of the largest in its class at the time), Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a six-speaker sound system, auto and height-adjusting LED headlights, power windows, rain-sensing wipers, a 12V socket and more.

A comprehensive safety suite from launch meant the T60 achieved the maximum 5-star ANCAP rating. This continued with the 2019 models. Standard safety tech fitted to this vehicle includes ABS, ESC, EBD, Traction Control, Rollover Stability Control, a Hill Holder, Hill Descent Control, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Fatigue Warning, Blind Spot Sensor, rear parking sensors, six airbags (including first- and second-row head airbags), two ISOFIX anchor points, and the additional cameras that allow a 360-degree view for negotiating narrow trails, reversing and tackling rocky roads.

For its age, this 2019 T60 Luxe has reasonable mileage of 76,565km. It appears stock inside and out, and looks to be in good condition overall, but as with all used vehicles, inspection is recommended. That being said, Western City Autos’ pre-inspection process and the assurance of an available extended warranty would be a smart investment, especially if regular towing or off-road work is intended.
