Using the latest technology, Switchmode chargers convert 240 volt AC power to 12 volt DC power using electronic components, unlike traditional battery chargers which rely on large heavy transformers.This electronic system produces a faster, more powerful charge via a three stage charging cycle and there is a significant reduction in the weight of each charger. The first stage produces bulk constant current for a fast charge whilst the second stage takes on a sophisticated absorption cycle of constant voltage, ensuring the battery is fully charged.The final stage referred to as the float stage, maintains the battery at a safe voltage ready for immediate use.
