Laptop power adaptors allow you to charge on the move

Two innovative small laptop power adaptors released by Brown & Watson Pty Ltd under the Projecta brand, allow people on the run to operate their laptop directly from a 12volt cigarette lighter socket in their car. Both power adaptors come with a range of tips to suit various model laptops. Once the tip has been selected, it is necessary to establish the right voltage by checking the manufacturer's handbook or looking at the output voltage shown on the existing 240volt laptop power supply. As some laptops require more power than others, the selection of the right power adaptor to suit is simply done by also looking at the output power amps on the AC power adaptor supplied with the laptop. This will provide the mA necessary to satisfactorily provide the charge.

As an example, most laptops will be serviced by the 3500mA output unit but with later model high powered laptops, the 6000mA unit will be required. Once this is selected the Projecta power adaptor is then adjusted to the correct output voltage setting using the small screwdriver supplied and you are ready to go. A red LED light on the adaptor glows when the unit has power and the lead stores neatly inside the adaptor housing when not in use.
