Hema Maps digital alternatives

This entire package of maps was presented in a useful format, but is also compatible with any Windows based navigation system like Ozi Explorer.

Now Hema have released the Hema Explorer Card. These cards operate under a similar principal to the Phone card. You purchase your Hema Explorer card from wherever you buy your maps or digital mapping software, then go to the website, www.hemamaps.com/explorercard, enter your unique one use number, register and then you download the map directly to your computer exactly as if you bought and downloaded an original CD. The advantage of this system is cost and the ability for regular updates. The first Hema Explorer Cards are fully digital maps of Victoria's High Country and the Flinders Ranges. They are priced at just $20 each.

Hema have also released a totally revised 2008 edition of the Australia 4WD?Raster Collection DVD. This new edition adds the High Country and the Flinders Ranges maps to the collection as well as updating the Great Desert Tracks range of maps, Cape York map, Kimberley, Pilbara and the Simpson Desert maps. It also has 513 Geo Science Australia 1:250,000 topographical sheets. RRP $149.00.
