Ford brings back Everest Wildtrak for 2026
After a successful run in 2025, the Everest Wildtrak is returning for 2026, with new design touches and more standard features. Production commenced in May, with the first units expected to land in local Ford dealerships shortly, priced from $79,990 (+ ORCs).

"The Everest Wildtrak enables our customers to boldly conquer their next adventure," said Ambrose Henderson, Director of Marketing, Ford Australia. "It is designed for those who want to stand out and aspire to an active, youthful lifestyle. We are excited to offer this limited-edition nameplate once again on Everest."
Demand from the local market has seen Ford Australia increase allocation of this special edition with each offering. The original Everest Wildtrak from 2023 was limited to 800 units, with last year’s version capped at 950. Ford Australia haven’t set a specific limit this time around, buy have stated that “approximately” 1,000 units will reach our shores this time. Presumably, concern over increased fuel costs caused by the US-Iran war is the reason for not setting a hard number for release of the special edition this time around.

Defining the 2026 Everest Wildtrak is a unique ‘Ignite Orange’ treatment inside and out (last year’s version featured ‘Luxe Yellow’ highlights), plus additional equipment over the Everest Sport that it’s based on. These extras include Matrix LED headlights and a power folding third-row seat – both taken from the range-topping Everest Platinum. The headlights feature auto-levelling and a dynamic bending function for enhanced vision.
Other standard features include 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tyres, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof with power blind. The 20s can be swapped out for 18-inch alloys with all-terrain tyres as a no-cost option.
Cosmetic touches that define the new Everest Wildtrak include Ignite Orange accents on the wheels, central grille bar and front bumper. Both the grille and ‘H-bar’ front bumper are finished in gloss black, complementing the other exterior trim and Asphalt Black alloys.

Inside, ‘Wildtrak’ identification features on the uprights of the front seats, along with an orange stripe under the ventilated top layer of the uprights and squabs. Leather accents and contrasting Ignite Orange stitching for the front seats extends to the second row, and presumably third row seats, too. The doors also gain this contrast stitching, with the front doors adding an Ignite Orange accent that continues along the lower dash.
Beyond these features the new Everest Wildtrak is as per the Everest Sport, which means a 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6, ten-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive. The 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel four-cylinder that has been option on the Sport is unavailable on the upcoming Wildtrak, and will soon be replaced with a single turbo version for the Sport and other Everest grades.
Other features include a power tailgate and mirrors, full-size spare wheel, roof rails, sidesteps, front tow hooks and an underbody skidplate. Selectable driving modes and diff locks enhance off-road capability, while a comprehensive safety suite includes nine airbags, active collision mitigation, blind spot sensor, front/rear/side cameras, driver fatigue warning and more.

The Everest Wildtrak also features LED tail lights, DRLs and foglights, an eight-speaker sound system, voice recognition, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, keyless starting, power windows, power front seats with driver’s seat memory function, digital instrument display, a 12.0-inch central infotainment screen, satnav and more.
List pricing of $79,990 (+ ORCs) for the MY26.5 Everest Wildtrak is equivalent to the off-road focussed Everest Tremor, but still under the Platinum, which lists for $83,490 (+ ORCs). Available options include Prestige Paint (+$750), a Premium Towing Pack (+$2,500) and the aforementioned 18-inch alloys.
