Porsche Cayenne Turbo in the rare but best colour combo Lapis Blue, a 1% colour, with a very small metallic content yet so deep it feels like when you look at it you can dive in and take a swim. Try finding another that isn’t Black, Grey or Silver. This one is unmarked, absolutely pristine paint, like new, in fact it could be described as concourse, with only 210,000kms. Interior is the beautifully contrasting light grey, with acres of leather everywhere, seats of course, but also leather dash, door cards, leather everywhere and lovely to look at, feel and smell when getting in the car, as you’d expect from a luxury performance sports car that was $330k when new only 20 years ago. Look at any other of these modern classics that recently hit the bottom of their depreciation curve only a few years ago and are now on the way back up and try to find one better than this. I challenge anyone to find a drivers seat that isn’t looking knocked around in these 20 year old cars. Not this one, it is all mint. Original Porsche floor mates, original tyre de/inflator for coming on and off the beach if that’s your dream. Imagine the looks you’d get with a sand rooster tail thrown 40 metres out the back of this beast if you were inclined to blast down the beach. You’d have to have the sunroof open, which glides open and shut like new, open so you could get the aural delights of that twin turbo 4.5 litres V8 singing like Freddy Mercury in the Bohemian Rhapsody, no one can help but stop and listen, look and smile when she’s in full song. Ok I wouldn’t drive it on the beach personally, so maybe it’s just my imagination dancing to the guitar riff. Let’s call it stunning unmolested original condition, as Porsche intended from the factory including the subdued snarling grumble from the exhaust. Talking of which the engine bay is immaculate and has its own special looking Porsche engineered looking work of art factory design to her layout. She’ll still let out a howl when driven enthusiastically, which doesn’t require much more than quarter throttle to get her to dance and things hot up again if you select your gears with a flick of a thumb from the perfectly positioned paddles at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions on the front of the leather trimmed and wood grain sports steering wheel. Drop a couple turning into a corner – music to your ears. Grab a few gears by putting them back on with the other hand when you fire out the other side, anything in the mirror getting smaller with every flick of your paddle and the oncoming boost from those two big turbos spooling air into that wondrous Porsche V8. Stereo sound is delicious unless you’d rather put the windows down, open the sun roof and listen to the aural delights coming from the 4.5 litre beast up front. Get up her for the rent and boy, you’d better hang on. Light grey luxurious deep pile premium carpets compliment the tasteful interior set off nicely by the conservatively tinted windows. Factory Porsche 19” wheels are mint presenting without evidence of any gutter rash and have new tyres all round except the spare which has never left the cavernous boot complimented by original Porsche tools. Wood grain timber is delightfully new looking, original Porsche floor mats are included and look at the light grey suede alcantara on the pillars; beautiful. There is even the Porsche first kit, the most impressive I’ve ever seen. Perhaps every new buyer was a brain surgeon and this was the kit they used for a bit of back cargo area on the road surgery. Very well kept all round, garaged and stored under a car cover, with complete logbook service history will surely impress the fussiest. These early Cayenne Turbos, are the sexiest of the entire Cayenne badge. The front bumper and grills on these were way cooler than the non turbos models with their smaller single opening and later model turbos, which got boring, conservative and even a bit ugly around the front grills. This one has had some colour coding along the bottom stone guard areas, rear badge and door handles further improving the overall visual feast. If you’ve already looked at any other examples, doubtless you’ll find this one the best available and at a value price point. I’m too old to be assed with messages, so don’t expect them answered.
